Audiovox 8940

Audiovox 8940

PRODUCT SUMMARY:-

The good: 3G phone; megapixel camera with lens cover; speakerphone; 65MB of internal shared memory; Mini SD slot with included 256MB card; media player.

The bad: Some phone-to-PC file transfers via the Mini SD card have been disabled; no Bluetooth or infrared; limited MP3 playback options; no analog roaming.

Reviews:
The Audiovox 8940, one of Verizon's three VCast multimedia phones, has an amazing feature list. It boasts a mini-SD slot, 1-megapixel camera, MP3 player, and a speakerphone. Unfortunately, these features aren't all up to snuff and don't work well together—at least not as well as we'd like.A fantastic cell phone we had the chance to review is the Audiovox CDM-8940, a phone that was designed to revolutionize the mobile phone market. Unveiled around 01/1/2005 the CDM-8940 functions under the networks CDMA 800 / 1900. Being of size 90 x 46 x 23 mm while weighting only 110 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. The Audiovox CDM-8940 is equipped with a beautiful camera of 1.3 MP / 1280 x 960 px / 2X Zoom / Flash / Macro / Self-Timer / Video Recorder. This cell phone comes with a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery, enabling a talk time of 3.50 hours and lets in standby mode about 190 hours.

Its creators incorporated a 64 MB memory, just enough a normal use! Adding to its internal memory you can increase it with external memory with miniSD memory cards. A cool thing of the Audiovox CDM-8940 is the speaker phone, which is useful in the car for example! The nice screen of this cell phone lets you insert wallpapers of 176 x 220 px. The gaming engine Audiovox CDM-8940 is running on BREW, having cool games to distract yourself! Unsurprisingly, being a standard in the industry, the CDM-8940 offers both services EMS and SMS messaging.

Additionally it has MMS messaging to send pictures and any multimedia file! The cell phone comes with a calendar which is well designed and Audiovox included a phone book with a capacity of 300. The prediction text tool is based on the T9 technology, being very easy to use. The data transfer uses the 1xEV-DO technology. The phone may be connected to a computer with a cable to exchange information
